PAGE FOOTNOTES: The Apartment Ransei Aoi lives in makes use of shared bathroom facilities just down the hallway. When Pastel was first colonized, the humans were troubled by the lack of standing bodies of water. They quickly learned to harvest water with cloud nets, as the native plants of Pastel do, but for a long time, water was at a premium. Because of this, communal baths are still common and traditional even in the most expensive houses and apartments.
