PAGE FOOTNOTES: I have had many extraordinary, even bizarre, experiences in my life, some of which were, if they were not merely (!) shared, group hallucinations, arguably impossible according to known physical laws. I have paid attention to such events, and while some of them can cause great excitement and wonder, others are remarkably calm to experience, just as depicted here. It is an odd thing indeed that sometimes the most astounding and impossible of events can be quietly accepted as though they were the most ordinary thing in the world.

Until later, when one thinks about them after the fact, of course.
