PAGE FOOTNOTES: Indoor scenes with lots of people are the absolute hardest pages for me to paint. Such pages are very labor intensive, because of the large amount of details to attend to. Of course, some prior bits of art can be partially re-used, especially for backgrounds, something I always try to remember, but nothing can act as a short-cut for characters themselves.
On the other hand, there is a great deal of satisfaction in a scene filled with complexity, and scenes with many characters each with their own little 'business' going on are a joy for me to look at when I finish them. This page took me about seven hours to draw.
