PAGE FOOTNOTES:  Back when I was holding down several jobs in my 20's, I had to walk past many a construction site. I quickly learned to cringe, to hold my head down and grit my teeth as I hurried past. I am only guessing at what motivates supposedly grown men to act this way, but I cannot imagine any woman ever escaping experiencing some variation on this crap at some point in her life. When it happened to me, I had daydreams of seeing my tormentors beaten and butchered, tortured and punished.

I wonder how much grief, and even violence in the world could be ended, if only certain adults stopped acting like repulsive adolecents?
