PAGE FOOTNOTES: I had some trouble doing the SD (Super Deformed) version of Fuschia in panel 4...I had to redraw the image four or five times, and I am still not happy with it. My biggest concerns beyond that is whether or not I am conveying emotion well enough overall...especiall in panels four and five - I really wanted to sell the joke of Pailaa Marron being... shocked and then discomfited... by the spontaneous usurpation of her role as news team leader, as well as the laugter of her Visioman, Rou.

I also tried another new technique - I am experimenting with the use of stylized backgrounds to focus attention on given scenes. In the last page, 155, I used a background of textured paper instead of a scene. In panel one of today's page, I did the background in oil paint to signify it as a powerful emotional event where the focus is on the characters feelings. Overall, I am trying to be a little more daring with Pastel Defender, and try some unusual, and for me, experimental, effects.
