PAGE FOOTNOTES:  Dr. Hannya Nakimono is more capable than her father. In point of fact, she is better at physics than her old man, Meiun, and did most of the actual calculations he used to develop the Dimensional Introitus technology. However, in the severely partriatchal culture of Pastel, she could never have hoped to be accepted based on her personal merits alone. Thus she became the real talent behind the famous Dr. Maiun Nakimono, because it was the only realistic option open to her, and also because, as she states, she does love her daddy, and wanted him to succeed.

So it is, that unknown to the populace, the true 'greatest scientist in the universe' is in actuality the daughter of the man held in such respect. Nothing really new in this, of course, please drive through.
