PAGE FOOTNOTES: While Socrates had his little Daimon talking to him in his head, or so he ernestly claimed, one cannot help but wonder about those moments where a sudden inexplicable impulse drives one to do something, say something or go somewhere, the result of which is important in some manner. There are improbable coincidences, to be sure, but what of the strange compulsions that direct one to an outcome that becomes a defining moment in life? Where did such a useful or powerful random compulsion come from? Why are such arbitrary compulsions often so incredibly valuable?
For
Fuschia Shiro, at least, we have met the answer.
She
is the contact focus for an uplifted artificial intelligence
transmitting on a hyperspace carrier frequency, from the universe
next door.
For the rest of us, only the question remains.
Unless,
of course, you have ever met your Daimons.
